So if the definition of insanity is “doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different result”, then working a J.O.B. (Just Over Broke) is insane.

  • Wake up, shower and get dressed.
  • Drive to a job.
  • Work all day doing the exact same thing you do every day.
  • Drive home.
  • Eat and ‘unwind’ in front of the TV.
  • Go to bed.
  • Just to get up and repeat the same thing the next day.

A paycheck is the bribe you are given to forget or postpone your dreams while helping someone else achiever theirs.  Never let the flame of your dreams be extinguished by accepting a mundane existence.  Even a dim flicker of a dream can be fanned back to a raging fire of determined progress.  It is not easy to change a pattern in life.

“Ease is a greater threat to progress than hardship” Denzel Washington

You can force yourself to dedicate on hour everyday toward fulfilling YOUR dream.  Even when you are tired, sick, overwhelmed and frustrated.  This one hour MUST be spent as an investment in yourself.  Within a short period of time, before you even realize what has happened, you WILL achieve you desired goal (one hour at a time).  You will then have a renewed faith in yourself and your ability.  You will begin to dream even bigger.  Before you know it, you will be living the life you have always wanted.

Two things are needed:

  1. A dream worth fighting for,
  2. A vehicle (plan) to fulfill your dream.

So, are you tired of the insanity yet?  Do you have a dream worth fighting for?  What is your plan?   Once you answer this;     STAY THE COURSE AND FOCUS ON THE DREAM!

….with expectant gratefulness “YES, thank you!”

Picture the worst flood you’ve ever experienced. And the nicest subdivision of homes you’ve ever imagined. The flood is now up to the roof of each of the houses.  One of the homeowners is on the top of his roof. He is praying for God to save him. Now a stranger in a canoe floats past as Mr. Homeowner is praying. The canoe captain asks “hey there my friend, do you need some help?”  The homeowner says, “thank you, but no. God is going to save me”.  A few moments later, a sailboat floats past as the homeowner is praying. The sailboat operator asks “hey there friend, do you need some help?”. The homeowner again responds, “thank you, but no. I don’t need your help. I’m busy praying. God is going to save me”.   Soon, a 30’ speed boat  passes by, and of course as you can imagine, the captain asks “do you need some assistance?”  The homeowner once again responds “No thank you sir but my God is going to save me”.  Not too long after that the homeowner dies.  When he arrives to Heaven he asks God “I prayed to you. Why didn’t you save me?”  God then answers the homeowner “Son, I sent so many of my angels to help you but you declined my help”

Let’s go back to the homeowners roof. The homeowner has a neighbor in this really nice subdivision. The neighbor is on his roof praying to God to save him.  The first stranger in a canoe floats past as Mr. Neighbor is praying.  The canoe captain asks “hey there my friend, do you need some help?”  The neighbor says with expectant gratefulness “YES, thank you!”  The neighbor hops into the canoe as they both are singing Gods praises of thankfulness.  Years later the neighbor and canoe boat captain are now living in the magnificent valley on the other side of the mountain from the flooded neighborhood. They are so abundantly wealthy and have helped thousands more people with their own fleet of canoes that they have now. One of their many hobbies is weekend canoeing after church so that they will never forget what God did through them.

The moral of this story is two-fold;

1.Pray for God’s assistance will an expectant and thankful heart, knowing that he loves you and does hear your prayers.

2.Secondly, BE the vehicle with which God can bring the assistance to those that ask Him.

If you never want to work again….

So many people dream about financial independence.  A future in which you no longer have to work for a living. Yes, seems pretty sweet!  However, it’s not easy to get there. It requires making a lot of very difficult decisions and choices along the way.

You have to have a vision for the future.

If you’re doing this simply because sitting around all day playing video games or just binging on movies sounds awesome, you’re probably not going to be motivated to stick with it. You need to have a compelling reason to do this, because it’s that compelling reason that will help push you through.

What would you do with your life if you didn’t have to work for income? What things would you achieve? What would you fill your life with?

Those questions aren’t easy ones to answer. They require a lot of thought and they will likely involve consideration of life paths that you’re not going to follow up on. That’s okay. When you do find the right thing, you’ll know, because it will start to drive you forward.

The key thing is to realize that it is possible. You can make that vision a reality, and when it’s an exciting vision, it can really help drive your life forward.

You have to put a strong check on your short-term desires.

This is the big one. For this dream to happen, you have to start living way below your means.  You simply can’t spend money on every whim and desire that comes your way, because if you do that, you simply won’t have the means to retire early.

That means that you need to go through a rather challenging process of evaluating how you spend every dollar and asking yourself whether that dollar spent is providing a lot of long-term value in your life. If it’s not, you need to cut that spending.

This doesn’t mean living like a hermit. This means that when you do spend money, you’re spending it on things that will have a lot of value in your life for a long time.

You have to start investing for the future.

Simply spending less isn’t enough. You’re also going to have to take the extra money that you earn and don’t spend.  Invest it sensibly.

Steps to Manifestation

Steps to Manifestation
1. Focus:   What ever you focus on expands. Most people focus on what they don’t want. Your goal cannot be blurry or not specific. Repetition of the focused dream is key. Focus on one goal at a time, don’t be scattered.
2. Boost:   Maximize the power of emotions. You are more successful when happy and confident due to a release of dopamine and serotonin. You are stagnant and repressed when worried and depressed.
3. Release:  Let go of your attachment to what you want. By constantly saying “I want this”, you are telling your subconcious that you don’t have it, which expands you not having what you want.  Release the negative thoughts you may have about what your desires (money is evil, i don’t deserve what i want)
4. Gratitude:  Appreciate where you are right now. This energy is magnetic to success. Create a Gratitude Journal where every morning you write at least 3 things you are grateful for. Can be something as small as your morning cup of coffee. But write something and build the habit.
5. Go:   Nothing happens without action. Perfection is an Illusion, Procrastination is a Lie. Get up and move, regardless if it is toward your goal or not.
Move and correct, move and correct, repeat.  Never stop moving.
